SIGNING PRE-SALE AGREEMENT TODAY

In a few hours, Komala and Sebastien are driving to the land ready to sign the pre-sales agreement with the owner.

After our last call, 4 people committed to be on the core circle, and 4 others on the time-share circle, and someone else offered a loan to complete the amount needed to secure the land. In this way, we have 60 more days for others to decide and join the project as part of the inner circle (4 more shares) or the time share (12 more shares).

The loan will be returned as soon as others come with their contribution, and their names will be then included proportionally as share holders of the limited liability company that will be set up before the final document will be completed. The amounts accounted on this site (on pages Circles and Contribution) will increase as we move on with the project adding value of the property with improvements.

As soon as we have the details of bank and registration of the company, we will send the information for deposit of the amount you have committed to. Please, be ready to make a transfer of the total no later than by May 10, as we agreed to sign the final document by May 15th and all the amount needs to be transferred before this date. 

 

SHARING OF TASKS
At this moment  we are moving with sharing tasks. If you are ready to take care of some aspects that will support the evolving of the project now or in the future, please make your offer on the Signal thread, so we can share it here and we keep an overview of what is needed and what is being covered.

TIME IS NOW! - 48 HOURS RESPONSE NEEDED

  • The owner of Monte California - Ruben called me today to let me know that he needs a confirmation from us in the next 48 hours. The German couple that has been ready to pay the deposit since January is insisting on a response from him before the end of this week, as they want to confirm buying the property. Ruben has been giving us time mostly because I had offered him the possibility of full payment at the latest at the end of April, and the others can only pay by June 1, so he would prefer to receive the payment earlier. But if we don´t decide within this time frame, he is ready to sign with them, and for us it is time to let it go…

These are skills needed at this stage, can you let us know if you can and would like to take one of these areas as your responsibility:

_ & management of income and expenses at this initial phase, basically taking note of all the transactions to be able to relate the details to the group as we evolve

_ to follow up with the information needed to develop the land and ask for permits (he speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French fluently). Possibly BearHeart?

_ to set up Limited Company and discuss the details that are most favourable to our situation related to taxes, etc… I already had the initial conversation, and wrote down the details on the site, now the next step is to set up the company and decide about details (he speaks Portuguese and English). Possibly Adeel?

IMPORTANT SUGGESTION

  • I talked to a dear friend who is also on the Signal thread as a supporter with his skills of being in the process of creating a large community project in the USA, as well as having a successful business background.

  •  His suggestion is...

        Move one step at the time, as you will not be able to preview the next stage before you fully step on the previous one. This means, at this moment the first need is to secure the land with the maximum information possible for what can be done later, so it is a risk, but it would be naive to count on what could be done before we even have the property. So, the most important point now is the clarity of engagement of the people who are ready to take this risk, and then feel that we have enough grounding and connection to move onto the possible development

 

 

AFTER THE CALL

  • I spoke with the engineer to receive final details from the licensing board of the council where the land is located (Almodovar town) about the capacity to build on the land requesting an agro-tourism license. To know for sure what we can request, he will need to do a study of both lands and make a proposal for an agro-tourism structure, this job will cost 480 Eu (he already gave me a lot of information without charging anything, I spent over 3 hours with him) and includes:

  1. Creating a basic cartography of both lands

  2. Geo-reference of all the conditions and laws, in raster format

  3. Classification of all types of soils, and their relationship with the territorial regulation

  4. Creating a map to over-impose with the orto-photomap for analyses, interpretation and calculation of the areas

  5. Crisscrossing of maps with the all the actual regulations

  6. Document with all the resume of the coefficient of construction according to the conclusions of the analyses.

All the above means…finding out how much and where we would be able to build legally, besides the details that we already know described on the site.

Unhappily, it will not be possible to have this information before signing the agreement, as the bureaucratic processes usually take time, and this involves information given by a public office.

FEBRUARY 20

Exposing a moment of shakiness, as I dissolved everything that represented grounding in my life, getting ready for a next wave.

During last year, deep dives into rest and inertia, yet significant decisions have happened, finally bringing me to Portugal. Now, deep breath, landing in a rental home. Wobbly inside, not sure what is moving me, where my choices will lead... Though, my whole life has been punctuated by sudden moves! I follow the winds...something inside knows it has to be so.

Is this project going to be birthed on its own accord? I don't know... What is my role? My instinct in co-creations is to open doors, and invite others to come in... 

Everything I ever wanted in life has been to explore radical love... to live blasted open, allowing life to move through dissolving veils, fears, ideas...stripped naked in the vulnerability of my heart-soul. This motivation keeps creating opportunities to look at what restrains me from giving and receiving everything! Often means feeling very empty, and silent, and alone... From this inner blank, creative power arises, if I only relax and wait long enough...

At a physical level, I would like to create a place with no outer restrictions — landlord, neighbours, laws, physical limitations, time frames... A stage for intimacy and creativity as expression of love...

All I want is to share, be seen and touched in the nakedness of body-heart-soul. This porous quality is my portal. I want to continue facilitating this alignment in a daily life, not only when I create a specific frame where people are invited and allowed to undress... Not as a vision, or a future possibility, but a full dive in my daily life with others who can receive and be there.

Daring to say, I am here!
